A Day In Antibes-A Solo Guide
On my plane ride over to Nice from Paris, I was reading my Rick Steve's guide book. There was a girl sitting at the window who asked to use the restroom. Upon returning, she stated she was from the Nice area. If I had any questions she could answer them. Of course, I had a ton. But, when I asked what was a city I must see she answered Antibes.

Solo In Villefranche sur Mer
When you hear French Riviera what comes to mind? Well for me it was opulence, grandeur, and summering there. I thought it was for the uber-rich. Which certain parts are definitely millionaire club only. But, staying in Nice at the height of summer was not as expensive as I thought. It can definitely be done on a budget.

Solo In The South Of France
I am sure you have heard of summering in the south of France. Well if you have not it’s a thing Well when I was considering what to do with the end of my summer, this saying popped into my head. That little seed sprouted to include Paris and Hungary into my end of summer itinerary. I did not know what to expect upon arriving in Nice. But, spoiler alert. I loved every minute of it. Let me break it down for you.

Solo In Paris Is A Good Thing
I have done many solo trips. But, Paris was very overwhelming to think of doing it solo. It's just so big and spread out. My other solo travels have had a smaller footprint. Less daunting.

5 Must Do Things In Tulum, Mexico
Alight guys! If you do not read anything else from this list it needs to be this one point. |
Did You Say Free
I was informed that the Mosque of Córdoba was free from 8:30-9:30 am. Honestly the Mosque of Córdoba was my whole reason for coming. I had seen pictures and just loved the architecture. I also secretly hoped that no one else knew about this free time allotment. Of course they did!

The Cost Of Being Directionally Challenged
Now the true test. Can I get to my new location without google maps directing me? For some reason the gps was not doing the step by step guide(i.e. audibly telling me to turn here then here). It was doing it fine the past few days, but today I had to follow the blue dot. Have I mentioned that I am directionally challenged?

Back To Day three Of Seville Trying To Not Let Me Be Great
My body was in weird place and not wanting to sleep. Nonetheless, I had to get up and try and get these shots. But, why Seville? Why does your sun rise so late.
|
Joy Comes In The Morning
Rise and...What the...What is that clanging?!! Why are they yelling!??! Is that hammering? Yup! Yup! Nonstop hammering fun at 6:30am. The walls in my airbnb are like paper and the hammering is pretty much on the other side of my bedroom wall. WHY!!!! Where they start construction this early in the freaking morning!? Oh well that’s right...good ole Seville.

January In Seville
The start to my Seville adventure could not have been better. I flew out of DFW (Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport) to Madrid. The flight was practically empty. I had a whole row to myself. A WHOLE ROW!!!

Do you have one day? Let's travel!
You don’t have to go far or out of the country to travel. You also do not need weeks. You can go to three cities in one day. How? Start early.

Hello Salzburg
The hills are alive….with the sound of music. I mean you just have to sing it upon your arrival into Salzburg. One of the main reasons why I choose Austria as my first solo trip, was because of my favorite movie of all time. I simply just had to visit this beautiful city. It surely did not disappoint. Just take a look!

5 Things You Must Do In Vienna
My Second Day was filled with great adventure. I will combine day two and three with a 5 things you must do while in Vienna.
|
Vienna With Love
Have I mentioned already that I cannot sleep on planes? Of course I have tried everything, but my body does not want to play along. Unless I am laying down, it’s completely silent or ambient noise, and completely dark my body is not having it! So I had already been up since the crack of dawn, on arrival it is day time in Vienna. I like to stay on timetable of wherever I arrive. So no sleeping for me. Time to find my hostel, drop my stuff off, and start exploring. No time to waste.
|
Why Vienna?
Why Vienna? Well my first reason was I wanted a “safe” place for my first time out by myself. I googled and the number one place is actually Copenhagen, Denmark. I just did not feel like that would be enough. I decided to go onto Skyscanner to see what the non stops were out of Las Vegas. Nothing narrows my decisions down like a nonstop flight lol. One of the options was Vienna.
|
Why My First Solo Trip Was So Eye Opening
My first solo trip to Vienna, Salzberg, and Munich was The best decision I've had in a long time. It was so eye opening in the best possible way.
|
Vintage Desert Wonderland
If you cannot tell by these pictures, I had a ball! It was so fun getting into my pinup roll for this location. It kind of demands it.
|
Summer In Nicaragua
If you are looking for relaxation without crowds San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua is your place. It has such a laid back feel. In fact I was shocked by it's peacefulness.

Mount Charleston In the Purple
Time for another hike! Not really. It began as a search for wild horses. I had read in an article that there are wild horses roaming around near Mount Charleston. The pictures looked pretty cool so we set out to find these cuties.

The Saga Continues...Road Tripping Monterey, California!
On the road again….So who loves roadtrips? WHY!? It takes soooo long. Endless sitting!!! Although, yes I do that on the couch...BUT it’s different.
|
Road Tripping Monterey, California!
I have been to plenty of cities in California. San Diego, San Francisco, and LA have nothing on my newfound love Monterey. I never would have thought of going if it was not for my husband wanting to go to Big Sur. I did not know what beauty was in store. Get ready for a lot of gorgeous coastline :-)

Let's Hike! Calico Basin Edition
Vegas!!! Who doesn’t love Vegas with all the nonstop partying? Vegas creates a magical grown up playground where most of your dreams can come true. It is definitely an experience everyone should have at least once. BUT...the strip is not all Vegas has to offer. There are people who actually live there. I am one of them. I want to be your resident guide to Vegas off the strip. I will try and highlight things you will definitely enjoy. Why not a hike?

Spring In Downtown Salt Lake City
Spring!!! I have been living in the desert for the last 4 years. So I kinda forgot about the spring, and pretty much all other seasons. I feel like I was given new eyes. The beauty that I encountered in Salt lake City was amazing! I’m in love!!!!

Trim And Our Final Day
Our last day was spent in Trim which is only 20 mins from Navan where we were staying. Of course there is way too many places to conquer in a day. We asked our hostess and she suggested we do Hill of Tara and Trim Castle since our time was limited.
|
St. Patrick’s Cathedral and The Guinness Storehouse
We had to check out by noon and used that time to sleep in and get ready. Lidia still wanted breakfast. She asked the people in the bar at the hotel and they suggested Cafe Bliss. It is not a far walk and the food was pretty tasty.

Cliffs Of Moher And IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!
It’s my birthday!!! The girls surprised me with a sash, bouncing shamrock headband, and they decorated the car. How sweet!

20 Photos To Fall In Love With Blarney Castle
Time to kiss the Blarney Stone. Legend has it that if you kiss the rock you will be given the gift of gab. Which is eloquence and flattery. I mean...I don’t want to brag….but, I embody that already lol
|
Ring Of Kerry
These narrow roads!!! Betsy was so kind to drive today while I recovered. We were not sure where exactly we were supposed to stop on this journey. We may or may not have done it completely right.
|
A Night In Killarney
Have you ever driven in another country? Have you ever driven on the left side of the road on back country roads? These roads are the smallest roads I have ever seen!
|
A Day In Kilkenny
With all the partying we did before we kind of got a late start for day two. It was pushing eleven when we finally got out the door. First things first. Food!
|
Hello Ireland!!!

10 Places I Want On My Travel Wishlist 2017
Okie Dokie. If you have been following along thus far you have seen that I have been to Cartagena, Iceland, and Cuba already this year. There are still 10 more months left in the year. I thought I share what’s on my wishlist.
Puerto Vallarta For The Win?
Hola Amigos! That's all I got. I wish I could carry on, but I blame my friends. The majority of my friends speak Spanish, and I've got nothing to show for it. I'm looking at you Mia, since we live in the same town for the last 4 years.

Day Escape To San Sebastian
We wanted something that wasn't super touristy, and sort of off the beaten path. So we choose San Sebastian. It's located up in the Sierra Madre Mountains 4500 feet above sea level. The tour also included a trip to a local distillery, local coffee maker, and lunch. Sounded good to us.
|
Beach Day In Yelapa,Mexico
If you were following along from day one you know that we booked at trip to the Marietas Islands. We wanted to go to the love beach. That is what we thought we were paying for when we booked. We arrive at the port and were told that was not the case. In order to enter the love beach we would have to pay an extra $2000 pesos (about $100US). WHAT?!?!!?! What the heck did we pay for then?! Needless to say I was mad!

7 Essential Tips For CubaSince the embargo has been lifted from Cuba, it is now easier for Americans to get there from the states. Here are some quick tips that I learned from my recent journey.
|
From Havana to Varadero In 5 DaysAh...Cuba. The mythical land that we were forbidden to go to for over 50 years. A time capsule from the fifties with cool old cars everywhere. The veil has been lifted and now we can enter. If something was once forbidden and is now readily available….we must go see this forbidden fruit! I had built Cuba up so much in my head that upon arrival the glamour had faded.
|
Iceland In Two Days Or BustTo me Iceland was only about two things. The northern lights and the blue lagoon. There can’t be too much more to do in a country called Iceland. Two days should be fine to take those two things in. Plus, I hate the cold. The less time the better. Well don’t be naive like me. I pretty much fell in love with the country after leaving the airport.
|
Cartagena
Now...if you know me, I was like Colombia?!?! Have you seen Narcos?! I have been adamant to NO COLOMBIA since seeing the show (which is amazing by the way.) I know Pablo has been gone for a gagillion years, but I also know the country has been in a civil war with the guerrilla warfare groups pretty much until present day. It just didn't seem safe to travel. I was not on board. It took some coaxing and googling to see we would not be in too much danger. Cartagena is a touristy city. So off we went.
